Past continuos

It is a verb time that describes actions that were being realized in a moment of the past to which one refers and which then they continued.
You utilitced WAS/WERE and de verb + ING

Yo estaba jugando - I was playing
El estababa hablando con sus padres - He was espeaking with her fathers
