William of Ockham born in the village of Ockham in Surrey (England) in 1285.
He entered the Franciscan order at an early age. He was a friarand and scholastic philosopher Englishman.
Ockham joined the Franciscan Order being still very young and he was educated firstly in the Franciscan house of London and then in Oxford.
